About
Our Mission
Occupy Cooperative is a website created to help you develop income streams while making your money work for you.
After spending many grueling years in the 4-hour-a-week corporate environment, I decided to give up its comfort and security to find financial freedom.
And I’m here to share what I’ve learned with anyone else looking to build up alternative revenue streams without going through the growing pains that come with working for yourself.
Who we can help?
If you’re anything like me, you may get complacent with your job and feel the pressure of your financial commitments.
Or perhaps you’ve already quit your job and need the sound financial guidance that would have made my financial journey much easier.
Occupy Cooperative is about financial planning without complicated theory that can help you become financially empowered, create multiple revenue streams, and enjoy the standard of living that your hard work truly deserves.
We offer you simple guidelines for every step of your journey to help you avoid the same mistakes that I made when I first got started.
Are you deep in debt, living paycheck to paycheck, or are you looking for smart guidance about where to invest your 401(k)? Then Occupy Cooperative can help you get your finances in order with smart strategies that are easy to understand.
Our Strategies
When I started on my journey, there were not a lot of resources available that I could understand, and it made the initial stages of my journey to financial freedom incredibly difficult.
Whatever books, articles, and courses I could find used a lot of complicated financial jargon that was difficult to grasp.
So, my strategy for creating financial models and solutions on Occupy Cooperative is to give you a plan that is as simple as possible.
While achieving financial freedom is not easy, it should be straightforward!
Meet James
Hey there!
I am James Smith, founder of occupycooperative.com.
Four years ago, I was working in a dead-end corporate job, with mounting debt and struggling to make ends meet, even though I was working 40 hours a week.
With the financial freedom I needed to be happy, I could not see a sustainable future for myself.
So, I took the biggest risk of my life and quit my job. The lack of creative freedom and flexibility in my work made me jaded, and I wanted to work for myself and have more financial security.
So, to get me into a position of financial empowerment, I took out a $47,000 loan for some capital and a big idea to make my money work for me.
It was an enormous risk, but to get the lifestyle I wanted was a risk that I knew I had to take.
I got a lot right along the way, but I also made some big mistakes at the start of my journey.
While I struggled to service my debts and kept myself afloat, I spent hours reading books, taking courses, and working through all of the complicated theories to develop a money mindset that would set me free from the shackles of my financial burdens.
My personal goal was to take on side-gigs and develop multiple income streams. With enough hard work and dedication, I found that anything is achievable.
So,
After cutting my teeth as an investor, freelancer, and gig worker, I was eventually able to create a model for myself that allows me to make a sustainable living and teach others how to do the same thing!
That’s why I founded occuptycooperative.com.
Here, you can get the answers to your burning financial questions and tips on creating passive income.
